different types of boat rides on lake Lucerne (depending the season)

city walk by yourself or guided hisotrical city tour to old medieval Lucerne, the famous wooden bridge, the dying lion monument, the glacier garden, the panorama painting showing the french army of General Bourbaki (19th century) the Jesuit (pure barok) church and more.

Visit the most interesting transport museum or the Rosengart collection with its famous Picasso's or the Museum of art with its changing exhibitions.

Wonderful excursions to Mount Pilatus, Mount Rigi, Stanserhorn, Klewenalp, Engelberg-Titlis.
Go for hiking or nordic walking, snow walking, skiing and sledge-riding.

Have a ride by train for 40 Min. to Engelberg, the nice mountain village on 1200 m o.s. and visit the famous monastery or have a walk in the beautiful countryside. 

Or go for jogging along the quai (lakeside) and enjoy the beautiful panorama of the mountains and the green of the parks as far as the transport museum or even further. You can return by bus.

Near by (5 min. walk) find the TC fitnes training center with swimming pool. Or else, across the "National" Hotel (some 10 min. walk away, or take the bus) is a beautiful spa.

Maybe during your stay a concert takes place at Jean Nouvel's famous concert hall in the KKL (just a few steps from the Continental-Park away). You should not miss this, the acoustics are outstanding (created by Russell Johnson, NY).
